Business card - UXY
For the UXY business card, I designed a two-piece collapsible card that serves as two cards in one. This way, when you hand it to someone, they have the option to pass one part along to someone else who might also benefit from our design services.
To create it, I first designed an SVG base in Adobe Illustrator. This SVG served as the foundation for the collapsible structure, allowing for a seamless and visually appealing two-piece card design.
Next, I refined the UXY logo in Figma using the vector editing tools. I adjusted it to be just an outline rather than a filled shape, giving it a cleaner and more minimalist look.
Finally, I added all the essential elements for a business card, including the company name, contact information, a QR code linking to our website, and a “share me” message to encourage people to pass the card along.
Next, Dirk suggested creating multiple iterations of the card design, giving recipients a fun opportunity to mix and match different versions for a more interactive experience.
To finish up, Briahna asked me if she could do the iterations , and I was ok with that since I was already working on the UXY website and the iterations didn’t need some special insight from. Her making the iterations was actually beneficial since I would have kept the pieces boring and straight unlike her who made them curved with more character.
